This Privacy Policy describes how RecoverAIO collects, uses, and shares information when merchants install and use the RecoverAIO Shopify app (the “App”).

When you install and use the App, we may collect and process the following categories of information:
Merchant / store information
- Store domain (e.g., your-store.myshopify.com)
- Shopify store identifiers
- App configuration settings (e.g., recovery preferences, suppression settings, discount limits)
Customer and order information (as permitted by the merchant and Shopify)
- Customer email address (when provided by Shopify and required to send recovery emails)
- Order and checkout details necessary to trigger and personalize recovery emails (e.g., order ID, checkout status, cart value, payment status)
Email delivery data
- Email send status (queued, sent, failed, skipped)
- Delivery metadata returned by our email provider (e.g., message IDs, bounce or suppression events)
Privacy compliance requests
- Shopify privacy webhooks and related payloads (such as data access or data redaction requests) for compliance and auditing purposes.
2. How We Use Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide the App’s core functionality, including sending recovery emails on behalf of merchants
- Generate email content based on merchant configuration and order context
- Deliver, monitor, and troubleshoot email sending
- Enforce suppression rules and prevent duplicate or excessive messaging
- Maintain audit logs for privacy compliance
- Improve reliability, security, and performance of the App

- Email delivery providers (e.g., Postmark)
- AI content generation providers (e.g., OpenAI) strictly for generating email copy
- Shopify for authentication, app functionality, and required compliance webhooks

5. Use of AI for Email Content
RecoverAIO may use an AI provider to generate suggested email subject lines and body content based on:
- Merchant settings (tone, discount rules, preferences)
- Order and checkout context
AI generation is limited by merchant configuration. We do not instruct the AI to invent order details or customer information.
6. Data Retention
We retain data only as long as necessary to provide the App and meet legal or compliance requirements. This may include:
- Message records and send logs for troubleshooting and auditing
- Privacy request audit records
7. Data Deletion and Privacy Requests
RecoverAIO supports Shopify’s required privacy compliance mechanisms. Upon receiving valid Shopify privacy requests (such as customer or shop redaction), we delete or anonymize data as required.
